ProSyst´s OSGi Plattform mBedded Server is used in Siemens Med applications

Erlangen / Cologne, 24/03/2003 – Siemens Medical Solutions (Siemens Med) and ProSyst Software AG (www.prosyst.com) cooperate in the development of an innovative solution for the maintenance of medical devices in the area of image management systems. Siemens Med is one of the largest suppliers of healthcare equipment in the world. It is renowned for its innovative products, services and complete solutions, ranging from imaging systems for diagnosis and therapy equipment for treatment, to electro medicine and hearing instruments to IT solutions that optimize workflow and increase efficiency in hospitals, clinics and doctors' offices.

Especially in the medical business with its high standards, software solutions need to be extremely reliable and comply with the strict admission standards in the US-American market. In order to meet the high requirements in the medical segment, Siemens Med uses the mBedded Server from ProSyst Software AG. This highly facilitates the administration of medical data.

Main reasons to install the mBedded Server were the direct access to an already-in-use, stable and modular solution and the possibility to easily integrate it into the ongoing development process. The integration of the existing applications into the framework results only in minimal effort for the developers .
